WE THE NORTH! Watching the NBA Game of Raptors

“Let’s go, Raptors!”
QEA got an opportunity for students to watch the NBA game in the middle of December. Students signed up enthusiastically, the cold winter didn’t wane their excitement a bit.

On December 16th after school, QEA school bus packed with students set off for the center of Toronto city. They played many games on the road to kill time. Excited and full of expectation, the bus drove through Toronto left their laughter floating in the sky.

Finally the bus arrived at the destination: Scotiabank Arena. Although students can’t wait to rush in the gym, they still controlled their excitement, following teachers’ order and waiting in line to go through security.

After entering, students were impressed by the bright light, clean wooden floors, the squeaking made by shoes when players moving and the crowd audience. They sat on their seats, eating popcorn, hotdogs and ice cola and waiting for the game.

Race started. Everyone watched the game nervously, following player’s movements. Sometimes they cheering with other Raptors fans, sometimes they sighed for player’s mistakes. The tense atmosphere made amateurs applause all the time.

The Toronto Raptors has beaten its competitor 133 to 113. Students still can’t calm down after the game, exiting while discussing the thrilling moments of the game.

Students learned a lot about NBA through this trip, and also felt the local people’s passion and support for Raptors.

In the future, QEA will organize more trips to found more charm of this city with its students.
