OUAC Update and Important Notice

The Covid-19 has made impacts on this year’s grade 12 graduates and their university admission. As many of QEA students applied for universities in Ontario, QEA Guidance has been invited to this year’s “Ontario Universities’ Guidance Dialogues” to share information and updates with other Ontario admission officers from different schools.

Important Updates from the Dialogues:

1. This fall’s Ontario Universities’ Fair will be canceled. The university will consider using online forms to provide students with university information and display the campus.

2. Some university admission centers are working remotely to process this year’s university applications. Students are requested to submit materials according to the timeline given by OUAC.

3. Before May 27, 2020, students will receive replies from all Ontario universities, including admission results and further updates.

4. Students need to make clear whether to accept the offer at OUAC before June 1, 2020, otherwise the offer will automatically expire. Students are asked to make a decision before this and make sure the status on OUAC has been updated.

5. The university will use the mid-term results uploaded in the 12th grade as the admission criteria. Grade 11 results are usually used as a measure of early admission in December.

6. Regarding university accommodation and Covid-19 related precautions, please pay attention to the mailbox and university official website for the latest information.
