June 2023 Convocation

Congratulations to the QEA Class of 2022!
QEA is excited to host convocation ceremonies to celebrate June 2023 graduates.

We also had the privilege of inviting two graduates from the Class of 2022 to share their growth stories at Queen’s Elite Academy.

First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the teachers at QEA. Last year, I received offers from ten of the world’s top 100 universities, and I owe this remarkable achievement to the guidance and mentorship of our teachers. For instance, Teacher Lela helped me navigate many challenges in university selection, Teacher Christy often worked overtime to provide valuable insights for my research papers, and Teacher Duan patiently assisted me, a student with a humanities background, in overcoming numerous challenges in the field of science. The teachers at Queen’s Elite Academy have been guiding lights on my journey of growth, providing me with comprehensive education and guidance. They have not only nurtured my knowledge and skills but also placed a strong emphasis on the development of our character and values.

Furthermore, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to my fellow classmates. The time we spent together is one of the most cherished memories of my life. We studied, grew, encouraged, and supported each other. Together, we experienced countless discussions, presentations, and Q&A sessions. Through all of you, I witnessed the strength of friendship, cooperation, and unity. You are my best companions, and together we faced numerous challenges and celebrated our successes, creating beautiful memories together. Witnessing each one of you achieve favorable outcomes and securing spots at your dream institutions fills me with great happiness.

Lastly, I want to thank QEA for the opportunities it has provided me. At Queen’s Elite Academy, I had the chance to immerse myself in various cultures from around the world and make friends from diverse backgrounds. This experience broadened my horizons. The school’s diversity and inclusive education have made me more open-minded and understanding of others, which I consider an invaluable asset for my future life.

The first time I met QEA teachers was during an online meeting before the start of the school year. I initially thought it would be a serious interview, but to my surprise, it turned out to be a relaxed chat session! Before this, I had been quite worried and anxious about fitting in here and adapting to the teaching style, but Teacher Christy was there to reassure me, telling me that everything would be fine.

The teachers at QEA are very approachable, making you feel welcome and comfortable. This includes school leader Simon and the teachers who taught us, such as Teacher Xu, Catherine, and Teacher Duan, among others. They feel more like friends to us, understanding many of our thoughts and always willing to engage in communication and discussion with us when we face academic, personal, or even family-related issues. Such a teaching atmosphere fosters a positive interaction between students and teachers, which significantly contributes to the excellent academic achievements of the students.

At QEA, I also met a group of incredibly lovely and enthusiastic classmates! We come from different cities and even have varying educational backgrounds and experiences, but we all resonate with each other. One of the most memorable experiences was when we had to complete a group project with a tight deadline and high demands for quality. It was challenging for us. To ensure a high-quality outcome, our group members decided to stay in the classroom late into the night, working on the project together. During the writing process, if there were any questions we didn’t understand, we discussed them together, sent emails to the teachers for clarification, ordered takeout together when we got hungry, ate, and then continued writing. If someone felt tired, they would take a nap on the desk. It was our first time having such an experience, and thanks to the mutual support and assistance among the group, what was originally a daunting assignment became a warm and collaborative effort!

During the application season, there are many surprises and, at the same time, some disappointments. Perhaps a small mistake prevented you from getting into your ideal school or pursuing your dream major. However, what I want to say is that every point deducted and every question answered incorrectly are guiding us to the places we are meant to be and the people we are meant to meet. Every point earned and every question answered correctly help you discover a better life.
