QEA Winter University Visits

This year’s famous university visits, QEA will take students to 3 famous institutions: York University, University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) and McMaster University. February was cold but students still gathered at the school gate on time, at 8:30 in the morning. This visit was to provide reference for prospective graduates’ college choosing.

York University

York University is the third largest comprehensive university in Canada. It is renowned for various majors including business administration, law, designing, computer science and social science.

The Schelich School of Business of York University is among the top in Canada. This school taught IMBA the earliest in Canada, which is also its most prestigious course. According to this school’s recruitment brochure, 88% of graduates were employed within three months with an average annual salary of around $54,000 for graduates and nearly $100,000 for after graduates.

University of Toronto Mississauga


University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) located in Mississauga city, west of the Toronto. Established in 1967, this university owns as many as 155 schools including anthropology, biology, physics, geography, economics and management.

UTM is a modern campus with new buildings and advanced facilities. It shares educational resources with U of T, for example, most of the students from business school attend junior and senior courses in Rotman. Thus its diploma is of same value as U of T’s.

Over 50 companies from the global top 500 set their Canadian headquarters in Mississauga, which benefits students to intern and study.

McMaster University


McMaster University is also among the top in Canada. Established in 1887 and became famous after 20 century for its unique creativity and matter-of-fact attitude. It cultivated 4 Nobel Prize owner, and is praised by McLean magazine as “the most creative and innovative university” in successive year.

McMaster University located in Hamilton, a quiet small town. This university is the only one of all institutions in Commonwealth countries owns nuclear reactor for research and also the electric resource of the campus.
