December 11th is Remembrance Day for both America and Canada in honor to military personnel killed in the First World War. QEA also organized students to mourn and tribute on that day.

On Remembrance Day people will wear a red poppy. This tradition can trace to a poem, In Flanders Fields, written by a Canadian surgeon John McMrae. QEA students read this poetry to memorize soldiers.

Wars only brought suffering and calamity. People today have to remember the miserable history and cherish today’s safe and happy life. History must be remembered so that people today can value the peace more and avoid taking the same disastrous roads.
