The 2019 QEASC Election began on October 3rd. Candidates are all confident and delivered excellent speeches.
Jinglong Yu
Vice President Candidate
Speak on the topic of “democracy”, Jinglong said Student Centre should be democratic and allow everyone to express their thoughts and make contributes. He said if he were the Vice President he will serve as the bridge to connect students with teachers. In the end he quote the saying of comrade Deng Xiaoping to summarize his speech and also to paid tribute to his motherland for this year was the marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China , “making empty talks is harmful to the nation, while doing practical jobs can help it thrive”.
Joey Lu
Vice President Candidate
Joey Lu was very confident about himself, and he had a good reason: he has achieved great academic success, had many voluntary experiences and was a good leader. Joey got a 7 in EILTS listening and reading, he wanted to be the vise president so that he could help more schoolmates to improve their EILTS and won’t let language ability barricade their way to college.
Francine Fan
President Candidate
Francine Wang also had a lot of capabilities. She experienced Chinese Gaokao, hosted programs at radio station and well awared of the importance of a Student Centre to a school. Francine was good at science and she promised to organize study groups if she was selected, she wanted to energize the study atmosphere of QEA and improve the grade’s average grade in science. “Make teaching fun” was the highlight of her argument, which she believed is critical to tie students and teachers closer.
Lisa Li
President Candidate
Lisa Li printed her speech into a long roll but assured that her statement will be quite short. Her humor grabbed everyone’s attention. Lisa believed her passion towards study and voluntary as well as her imagination and leadership are competent for being the president of Student Centre. Lisa have joined many school activities and proved her influence among students. Lisa wanted to encourage more students to engage in more activities, making QEA a more harmonious school.
After the speech, teachers and students raised questions about their future plan if they selected and candidates shared their opinions. Teachers and students were impressed by candidates’ eloquent and flexibility.
